The Hi & Dry Water-Powered Backup Pump design and its recommended setup make water backflow practically impossible. Although, some require the installation of a Dual Check Valve.

The Dual Check Valve contains two internal check valves to prevent backflow (reverse water flow) through the pump into the potable water system.
